There’s also the matter of the entirely new gun and vehicle models, all of which help to make the game look a little more modern than it’s nine-year-old self would suggest. The main improvements are all visual, and most of those come in the form of the lighting, which helps to make every vista within Steelport substantially prettier. Not everything has been tweaked and touched, but it didn’t really need it.

It’s still the same tale of the Third Street Saints’ ascent from a street gang with movie deals to being in charge of the US, but it all looks so much better now that it ever has. It’s non-stop carnage in everything it does, and the remaster holds onto this feeling perfectly. Saints Row: The Third Remastered is the equivalent of a 10-page action/romance/comedy book you find on a website for 50 pence.

Of course, the pinnacle of absurdity in the series is in Saints Row IV, where you get to have superpowers, but The Third is still a wonderfully unhinged game. It took itself seriously, and it suffered because of it, while things started changing in the second entry, it was only really in Saints Row: The Third that things really started to get going.
Thankfully, Steelport is a city that players likely won't be in too much of a rush to leave behind.S aints Row started off as a Grand Theft Auto clone. While there's plenty of side missions and activities to fill time, actual story progress happens at a much slower pace. If there's one gripe about the game, it would have to be the pacing. This remastered package includes even more content than the original release, adding extra missions, cosmetics, and items previously only available as downloadable content.
There's never a shortage of things to do in Steelport, and there's enough variety in the activities to keep things from getting stale or repetitive. But underneath its bawdy and raucous presentation is a surprisingly deep game with a lot of content. Saints Row: The Third relishes in its absurdity, taking players along on a ridiculous rollercoaster of a ride that pokes fun at just about every taboo imaginable. Whether you're locked in a gunfight on the city streets, barreling through law enforcement in an armored tank, or threading the needle between the buildings of Steelport in a jet fighter, the game looks fantastic and it never skips a beat. And thanks to all the visual polish put into this remaster, the Third Street Saints have never looked better. That said, the over-the-top open world action/adventure game is also a lot of fun to play. The game is filled with all kinds of adult humor, extreme violence, and other mature content that earns its M rating many times over. Saints Row: The Third Remastered is not one of them. This version of Saints Row: The Third has been fully remastered for the current generation of consoles and includes all three previously released mission packs, as well as more than thirty other pieces of downloadable content. That means decking out your customizable character with all the best fashion and all the special skills you could ask for. You'll pull off a string of insane activities to build your bankroll and earn your reputation, while carving out your place in Steelport and looking good while doing it. You'll take on rival gangs throughout the open world streets of Steelport, leaving a trail of bodies and destruction in your wake. Of course, the Saints wouldn't have it any other way. But when a bank heist goes wrong, the Saints wind up stuck in a new city, facing down some new competition and a new fight to dominate the streets.
After taking over Stilwater in the previous games, the Saints have become a household name, complete with branded energy drinks, clothing lines, toys, and more. SAINTS ROW: THE THIRD REMASTERED takes the Third Street Saints back to Steelport and their infamous turf war with the Syndicate.
